The Nolastar room divider and curtain system is more than just a functional element, it is a statement of timeless design and innovative materiality. Designed in 1999 by Ana Motjér Milanés for Royal Family Design Lab, Nolastar combines aesthetic elegance with high functionality, creating spaces that breathe and perform.
Nolastar is a flexible system that structures, divides, and accentuates spaces without dominating them. It unites lightness and stability, transparency and privacy, function and design. Each material tells its own story and blends harmoniously into modern living and working environments.Â
The Nolastar system consists of interconnected panels measuring 20 × 20 cm, which can be freely combined in height and width. This modular construction allows for flexible adaptation to individual spatial proportions and requirements. Compatible with all standard curtain tracks, both motorized and manually operated, Nolastar is ideal for residential as well as commercial interiors.Â
A new feature added to the system is the“easy fold“ concept: it allows for the curtain to automatically fold and unfold, in a precise, rhythmic zigzag motion, creating a compact stack. It takes up minimal space and virtually disappears at the end of the track, preserving spatial openness while ensuring the divider is present only when needed.
